Where can I find a scanner bulb and new cord for my HP OfficeJet Pro 1170C?
I keep getting an error message on my, Hewlett Packard (HP OfficeJet Pro 1170C), all in one printer that says scanner bulb failure or service printer soon. I have already taken it to be serviced and the maintenance person said it either needed a new scanner bulb or a new power cord and he had no way of getting either because the machine is too old. He told me I couldn’t even get the parts from Hewlett Packard because that is who he tried to get them from. It still works but I have to keep turning it off and then on again after it prints, sometimes 1 or sometimes 5or 6 pages, and I am afraid that one day it is not going to work at all. The resolution on the color copier of this machine is phenomenal and I don’t want to give it up. Can anyone help?
fixing it might end up being as costly as getting a new one…just something to think about…besides, technology nowadays is better than say 5-10 years ago…but if you still wanna get a bulb and a cord, try ebay
